Fall 2023

Yev and Pranav are working on a "Bloomberg for antiques", trying to scrape rare auction history 3 times on MongoDB's free tier, each time having their DB wiped by version upgrades. Yev saw how SQL provided a much more intuitive way of getting web data.

June 2024

Yev misses an interview offer email and decides to build a SQL email client to explore how SQL could be used as UI.

July 2024

Yev launches the LSD email client on the 11th, and starts exploring interfacing with the web. Only 4 days later, he launched lsd.so with basic functionality to scrape websites. Over the rest of the month, he added the ability to use CSS selectors and refined the scraping functionality.

August 2024

Yev launches the Bicycle browser to easily get data directly on websites. He added natural language queries, the demo that got Andrea hooked on LSD. We went on an iMessage detour and Roscoe joined the team. Yev, Andrea and Pranav headed to SF to fundraise and run Hack LSD.

September 2024

Yev open sources Lusid, a self-hosted Python iMessage client. Finished fundraising, and continued to refine the workbench. The team brings LSD to a music festival
